At its best minimalism is sublime. At its worst minimalism is soulless It divides the haves, from the have nots. Effective minimalist design is about details. For most people, it is impractical to get rid of ‘unnecessary’ things. Is minimalism a moral purge from a life of ‘mindless consumerism’, or an escape from a world of visual excess?
